It is also a great choice for those who don’t like spending too much time in the kitchen – it’s quick and easy to prepare and the taste is amazing.  We love caramel – apple combination, frozen desserts, too and of course all the quick and easy recipes, so Caramel Apple Frozen Dessert is perfect in every way. 

I prepare this dessert throughout the year, even during cold days. I also like the fact that it can be kept in the freezer for weeks and what I like most about it is its unique taste. Have you ever tried frozen caramel – apple dessert? If you still haven’t, here is your chance.

You can find detailed recipe at the bottom of this post and the preparation is very simple and quick. First, you have to prepare apple pie filling and to let it cool. If you don’t have enough time, to make apple pie filling , or you don’t want to, feel free to use ready – made apple pie filling.  You will need 1 cup of it. Therefore in that case, the preparation is even quicker and simpler and it will take only 15 minutes to prepare Caramel Apple Frozen Dessert.  

Which ingredients do you need to prepare Caramel Apple Frozen Dessert? 

  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • Unsalted butter
  • Granulated sugar
  • Cream cheese
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Caramel sauce
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Apple
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Cornstarch
  • Water

How to prepare Caramel Apple Frozen Dessert? 

In a medium dish mix water, cinnamon, cornstarch and sugar and heat over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens, stirring all the time. Then add apples and cook for another 10-15 min stirring from time to time. When the apples soften, the filling is done and should be removed from heat and let cool completely.

Meanwhile, in a medium dish, beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form. In a separate, medium dish combine graham cracker crumbs, unsalted butter and granulated sugar.  After that, take 1/2 of it and press at the bottom of an 8x8or 9×9 inch pan and save the other half for later. 

Next, beat cream cheese and caramel sauce using medium speed, until it gets smooth, then add sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream and continue beating until it´s well combined.  Fold in apple pie filling and spread over the graham cracker layer and then spread the rest of graham cracker mixture.  Leave it in the freezer for at least 6h taking it out 20- 30 minutes before serving.  Return it to the freezer after serving.

Ingredients

  • GRAHAM CRACKER MIXTURE
  • 3 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 2/3 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • FILLING
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup Caramel sauce
  • 1 can 7 oz Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • APPLE PIE FILLING
  • 1 large Apple, peeled and chopped into small cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions

  1. TO PREPARE APPLE PIE FILLING – start by mixing water, cinnamon, cornstarch and sugar in a medium dish and then heat it over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens, stirring all the time.   2. TO PREPARE GRAHAM CRACKER MIXTURE -  In a medium dish combine graham cracker crumbs, unsalted butter and granulated sugar.  Then, take 1/2 of it and press at the bottom of an 8x8or 9x9 inch pan and save the rest for later.
  3. TO MAKE THE FILLING -  In a medium dish, beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form and then set aside. , In a separate dish beat cream cheese and caramel sauce using medium speed, until it gets smooth, then add sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream and continue beating until it´s well combined.  Finally, fold in apple pie filling.
  4. Spread the filling over the graham cracker layer and then spread the rest of graham cracker mixture.  Leave it in the fridge for at least 6h and take it out 20- 30 minutes before serving. Return it to the fridge after serving.  

Notes

Instead of homemade apple pie filling, you can use a cup of ready-made apple pie filling.
