Mint Oreo Chocolate Truffles are simple, quick and so delicious, just perfect for St Patrick´s Day.

Ingredients

  • 38-40 Mint Oreo Cookies
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 14 oz mint dark chocolate (I used Lindt Excellence - Intense Mint Dark Chocolate)
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil
  • White and green Candy Melts, optional

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
  2. Put Oreo cookies in the food processor and crumble them.
  3. In a large dish put Oreo crumbs and cream cheese and mix with spatula until well combined.
  4. Roll the balls with your hands (about 30 balls)
  5. Put them on the wax paper. Chill for 20 minutes.
  6. While the balls are chilling, melt mint dark chocolate according to the instruction given on the package. Add oil and mix.
  7. Put the chocolate into a deeper dish, so that it would be easier to dip the balls.
  8. Take the balls out of the fridge. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and make sure that they are completely covered with it. A fork can help to rotate them.
  9. Take the balls out with a fork, shake them and wait for the extra chocolate to drain. Place them on the wax paper. Use toothpick to take the ball off the fork.
  10. Repeat the same with the rest of the balls.
  11. For decoration, melt white and green candy melts and drizzle over the balls.

Notes

Store at a room temperature in a well sealed container no longer than 3 days, refrigerated up to 7 days.

I think Mint Oreos are made from heaven! I love them. They are my favorite that when my friends and family asks me what I want for a gift on my birthday or the holidays, I will tell them "MINT OREOS!" There's something very magical going on in your mouth when the chocolate touches your tongue and after a while the taste of mint explodes with it! And when they combine, um! Um! Um! :)
