If it is not really a perfect breakfast, then I’m an astronaut 🙂 I love cookies and cakes, and muffins, and so on with apples, it’s the simplest and the most delicious kind of pastry in the world! And this magical combination of apples and cinnamon makes me eat them till the very end))) Have you ever tried to make a piquant accent using grounded cardamom? Of course, there is already nutmeg, I’m just curious))) Thank you for the recipe and for your cute blog!

The picture looks like it has coarse white sugar on it. My brown sugar didn’t look like this when I made them.

      Hi Laura,

Dip the muffins into the melted butter, drain, then coat into brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, so that they´re completely coated. The muffins are darker on the outside than sugar and this makes the sugar lighter.

      Best regards,
      Dragana

If I would make them as mini muffins, about how long should I make them. Also ,I have never removed the paper liners before serving, but it looks like they were taken off befoer sugaring, right ? Or , could you just sugar the tops and leave the paper liners on the muffins?

      Hi Angela,

A recipe that makes 10 regular – sized muffins will make 30 mini muffins.
Yes, paper liners were taken off before sugaring and you can sugar just the tops.
