- All purpose flour
- Granulated sugar
- Baking powder
- Brown sugar
How to prepare Cinnamon Sugar Apple Muffins?
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffin pan or line with paper liners. Combine flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Place apples, 1 tablespoon flour and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon in a medium bowl. Toss to coat. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add an egg and beat some more, until combined. Mix in vanilla. Beat at a low speed while slowly adding dry ingredients and milk. Fold in apples. Scoop the batter into prepared muffin pan. Bake for 25 minutes.
To make the topping – combine cinnamon and brown sugar. Dip the muffins into the melted butter, drain, then coat into sugar and cinnamon mixture, so that they´re completely coated.
